Michael Mortorano is an eminent and well-known philanthropist who has worked hand in hand with several non-profit organizations and other charitable trusts dedicating his life to help poor and homeless individuals by providing various kinds of jobs to get them back on their feet. He is proactive in various charitable campaigns such as Hungry Charity and Feed the People in the World, both charities that helps provide food to the hungry in the world when any natural disaster strikes.
Besides being president of Mortorano Enterprises and KMA in New Jersey, Michael Mortorano is a privileged member of diverse well-known social organizations such as New Jersey Honor Legion, International Warehouse Logistics Association, Warehousing Education and Research Council and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

For the last several decades, St. Joseph’s School has faced diverse challenges. An ongoing necessity for any organization is raising funds for operations. Michael, who was injured and lost vision in one eye as a child after being struck by a car, is very passionate about the children living with vision disabilities as he himself grew up visually impaired. Michael turned tragedy into victory by making one of his life’s missions to help children with the same types of disabilities. He was first introduced to the St. Joseph’s School for the Blind in 2000, and since then has developed a great interest and passion for the school. One of the outlets he found fulfilling for him life is in aiding with the fund raising through charitable activities such as the G Michael’s Golf Outing that occurs in the summer to raise funds.
St. Josephs School for the Blind has worked with numerous non-profit social groups and charitable trusts to ensure consistent and prolonged services and facilities for current and future generations of children with visual and other disabilities by sponsoring awareness on various local and national environmental issues.
Today, even though disabled students or individuals are mainstreamed, they still require specialized and refined educational services under the supervision of well qualified early intervention teachers for visually impaired and disabled with other difficulties. Therefore, St. Josephs School for the Blind has provided various opportunities and supports for these disabled individuals initiating vocational training for high school students that would take them to community colleges.
